 As Google continues to improve their Google Places (fromerly Google local listings) they have just recently added a feature that allows the business owner to respond to reviews on their company. This is extremely important when it comes to online reputation management.
Previously, the only way a business could respond to a review whether it was positive or negative would be to write another review and try and communicate this way. Unfortunately when it was this way it was hard to follow and often went unnoticed. If a review or two had been created since the one the person was trying to respond to it was nearly impossible for someone to put them together. Now, the business owner or whoever created the listing can respond in the same box as the review which is so much easier to follow for those who are reading the reviews.
If you have a Google Places listing, make sure to frequently check on the reviews being done about your company. You will be surprised the impact it can have not only on the prospect customers who are reading your reviews but on those who created the review as well. If someone leaves a good review, thank them. If someone leaves a negative review, try and fix the problem.
